The Demigod Files

Rick Riordan opens the world of mythology to teenagers all over the world. The story of Percy Jackson has reached book stores all over the world and spread within the world of teens.
Percy Jackson, a spawn of Poseidon, has struggled to survive for many years from mythical creatures to the deadly depths of Tartarus. This is truly the life any teenager wouldn't want to have. From the age of twelve, currently seventeen, he discovered the truth of his bloodline and has survived till now, each year trying to save his home, Camp Half-Blood.
The challenges are deadly and nearly-impossible, for he has proven every impossible task possible. With the assistance of his friends, he has been able to overcome his fears and try to protect not just his  camp, but the world.
This demigod-filled camp has faced many troubles, but the campers still protect it as long as they can. Along the way, Percy has befriended other demigods in hope to save their home.
Rick Riordan's series has had an impact on teens making them eager to read the next book. He opens the eyes of teenagers, both entertaining them and increasing their knowledge of Greek and Roman mythology at the same time.
Though the story of Percy Jackson may soon come to an end, it is best to say that he, as well as his friends, will reside within the lives of teens for a very long time. Even if he is a fictional character, he will remain as a hero in the heart of teens for a long time.

  1. I really like your blog, it does a good job of summarizing the Percy Jackson series. The entry explains the books well and is well written. It might’ve been a good idea to include the title of the book series right at the beginning so those who didn’t already know the series automatically knew what you were writing about.

  2. I love the topic of your blog and also the topic of your first blog post. I love how you summarized the book series to give people who haven't read the book a synopsis of the book and what to expect from it. I think what would have made it better would be by explaining more of why the readers of this post should read it instead of just summarizing it. But overall, I think you did a great job. Can't wait to see future blog posts.
